Michael, one of the founding directors of TPP, has over 31 years’ experience in transport planning, providing advice to private sector and government clients. He has worked on a wide range of projects including large masterplanning and regeneration schemes and mixed use, retail, residential, industrial and office developments. These have been for clients such as Axa, Lands Improvement Holdings, British Land, Land Securities, Morley Fund Managers, Henderson, Derwent London, Taylor Woodrow, Merrill Lynch, Berkeley Homes, Barratt Homes, foodstore operators and hospital trusts.
Resolving transport issues is important for the success of many projects. The solutions can include improving access by all modes of transport and providing education and information to allow the maximum benefit to be gained from those solutions. Michael strives to find pragmatic solutions to projects and bring together the interests of all parties to find mutually beneficial solutions.
In addition to the UK, Michael has benefited from working overseas broadening his awareness of transport issues. His overseas experience has included projects in Australia, South East Asia, America, Egypt and Europe. His projects include Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport, a new terminal for British Airways at JFK airport, masterplanning for the dock areas of Sydney, the Sydney bike plan and new city developments in Egypt of up to 80,000 residential units.
